RETURNS & REFUND POLICY — Mpinch ya Kasi

Mpinch ya Kasi is a marketplace.
Each seller sets their return conditions, but they must follow the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) rules.


1. Eligibility for Returns

Customers may return products if:

  • The item is defective
  • The item was damaged before arrival
  • The seller sent the wrong item
  • The product does not match its description

2. Timeframe

Most items must be returned within:

  • 7 days for local products
  • Non-returnable for hygiene items, custom products, or digital goods
  • Clothing items returnable if unworn and with tags (7 days)

3. Refund Process

Refunds are processed after:

  1. Seller receives the returned item
  2. Seller confirms inspection
  3. Mpinch ya Kasi approves the refund
  4. Customer is refunded via EFT or the original payment method

Processing time: 3–7 working days


4. Non-Returnable Items

  • Underwear
  • Cosmetics
  • Digital downloads
  • Perishable goods
  • Clearance items
  • Items marked “No Returns.”

5. Marketplace Protection

If a seller refuses a valid refund, Mpinch ya Kasi may step in to protect the customer.
